Monte Maliongas’s History

Monte has been flinging arrows since 1966. His mother and father both competed in the NFAA and the IAA, and started him at an early age. Monte’s father sold archery equipment and still owns the first Allen Compound Bow that was in their county. He also sold Rigid Compound Bows which were the first short axle-to-axle and machined aluminum riser bows with parallel aluminum limbs. These were made in the late 70s and early 80s, and Monte still owns two of these.

Monte has been fortunate to harvest many Pope & Young animals, as well as competing in many state, local, and national tournaments. He owned an Archery Shop for more than 10 years, and has been setting up bows, teaching, and coaching since 1989. Monte became a shop staff shooter for Two Bears Custom Archery in Springfield, IL. Then, he became a member of the PSE Pro Staff. He is now a Staff Shooter for Bear Archery, S&P Scents, Winners Choice Strings, Trophy Ridge, Rocket Aeroheads, and Hudalla and Associated. Monte met George and Patti in 1993 during a Dealer School at PSE. He has worked with them, and enjoyed their friendship, ever since.
